It is with great regret to learn of the death of a great special forces soldier and leader in the Pakistan Army. I will miss Lt Col Wasim. My heart and prayers go out to his family and his brothers, especially Col Nadeem. It was a true honor to have known a courageous man.

I do not know Lt Col Wasim and found his name out of blue while trying to search something else. But in the military we speak the same language in different manner. Our motivation is same...to protect our motherland. May Allah SWT grant Him Jannah. Ameen

A General and a Brigadier had dinner with me at the Pearl Continental Hotel Rawalpindi which is next to the GHQ. I was the General Manager at the hotel and offered a military post to the friends on top of the hotel from where the office of the Chief could be clearly seen and protected in case of an attack. Unfortunately nothing came out of our conversation and no action was taken. If they had paid heed to my suggestion perhaps the result would have been different, perhaps less or no casualties. Arjumand
